Areaplane for iOS — Privacy Policy

Overview

Areaplane for iOS is designed with privacy at its core. Your projects, floor plans, and measurements are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate our own servers to store your data.

iCloud Sync & Storage

The app uses Apple's iCloud service to sync your projects across your devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac). This means:

• Your project files are stored in your personal iCloud account, managed by Apple under their Privacy Policy.
• We never have access to your iCloud data. Sync happens directly between your devices and Apple's iCloud servers.
• You can disable iCloud sync for Areaplane at any time in your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.

Sharing with Contacts

Areaplane lets you share projects with other people using iCloud sharing. When you share a project:

• Shared projects are transferred via Apple's iCloud infrastructure. We do not relay, intercept, or store any shared data.
• Only the people you explicitly invite can access a shared project. You control who has access and can revoke it at any time.
• The app may request access to your Contacts to help you find people to share with. Contact data is used solely for this purpose and is never sent to our servers.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Floor plans and images: Your files stay on your device and in your iCloud account. We never receive or store them.
• Measurements and projects: All project data is stored locally and in iCloud. It is not accessible to us.
• Personal information: The app does not require an account with us. Your identity is managed entirely through your Apple ID.

Analytics

The app does not include any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We may receive anonymous, aggregated analytics from Apple if you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in your device settings.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used by the app is Apple's iCloud, which is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms of Service.

Data Deletion

You can delete any project at any time from within the app. Deleting the app removes all local data. To remove data from iCloud, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage and delete Areaplane's data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
